Moap Over Myopia No More

While LASIK surgery corrects almost all of myopia patients back to perfect (and then some) vision, there is still a 5% audience who suffers night vision problems after having surgery to correct myopia. Patients who undergo LASIK surgery for myopia have occasionally reported a development of glare or light halos apparent at night due to the extreme flattening of the cornea during surgery.

This problem should become all but eliminated however, as a new procedure from Bausch and Lomb called Zyoptix Aspheric LASIK Technology works to flatten the cornea while preserving its natural shape. According to Doctors, this new technology is best suited for those myopia patients with very high myopia, thin corneas and large pupils. The procedure is said to cost only 10% more than normal myopia corrective LASIK surgery. In a clinical trial, 97% of 85 patients tested attained perfect vision from the Aspheric LASIK surgery, with nearly half having flawless night vision without the pains of glare.

If you or someone you know is interested in LASIK eye correction surgery, please contact a professional LASIK surgeon such as The Clear Advantage Vision Correction Center in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
