Can an App Correct Vision?

Glasses Off is a new app for iPhones that claims to eliminate a user’s reliance on glasses and contact lenses without the need for LASIK. The app offers a 12-week program that is used for 15-minutes at a time, three times per week. At the end of this period, the creators of the app claim reading vision will be greatly improved.
The cost of the app is around $60 for four months, but continued use is recommended to maintain results. Plans for making this app available on other devices are currently in the works.
Better than LASIK?
While the creators of Glasses Off claim the app can improve reading vision, they admit it cannot provide permanent vision correction. The only way to permanently improve your vision is through vision correction surgery performed by an experienced eye surgeon.
It is also important to remember that an app on a smartphone should never serve as a stand-in for proper vision care. An app cannot detect or diagnose a vision disorder, nor can it be trusted to provide effective solutions for treatment.
If you are looking for the most effective treatment for your vision problems, please contact an experienced ophthalmologist in your area to schedule an initial consultation today.
